Second pillar in the Stevia Group at the entrance of Vallunga.

First ascent: in summer 1993 with Markus Kostner.
In some parts the rock is very brittle.
Today there is a fixed rope route on the right edge.

Just knowing that nobody else climbed this wall before was a special charm for us.

The central part is interrupted by a large shelf. Although the lower part shows a grass covered yellow rock the quality of the rock is not bad. The upper part on the other hand is very brittle in the first part, but ends in a wonderful chimney.

The Ladin name “Sas dla Porta” means “Rock of the Door” as there is a big hole you can’t see when you walk towards Rifugio Stevia. The name of the route “Busc de Stevia” means nearly the same “The Hole of Stevia”.
