At the Castiglioni Tower in the Sassolungo Group; it’s a tower belonging to the Sasso Piatto with quite a long access through the Sasso Piatto Channel but really worth to be done.
First ascent: July 9 th 1994 with Gerold Moroder.
Height of the tower: about 450 m.

Grade of difficulty: 7 th
I saw this rock wall already in winter when I skied down the channel and realized the good quality of the rock and the wonderful slabs.
The name “Speedycic” contains Gerold’s and my surnames.
Descent through the Eastern Gorge with some places to abseil between the Castiglioni and the Vinatzer Tower. |
